NYF is excited to announce that our first Skills Training for Reconstruction Programme has launched. This is first of many programmes that has taught residents from the town of Ghyampesal in the Gorkha district in the skills they will need in order to rebuild their own seismically safe homes after they were destroyed by the April 2015 Nepal earthquakes.
The trainees worked with engineers in a hands-on project, rebuilding the local police station.
NYF will train 60 people during this session, but our goal for 2016 is to train 1,000 in total.
